NEWARK, N.J. (AP) - Authorities say a 19-year-old New Jersey man has been arrested in a head-on collision that left a 33-year-old man dead in May.
Alan Faynzilberg was charged with vehicular homicide on Thursday in the crash that killed Luis Davila of Belleville.
Prosecutors say the vehicle the Bloomfield man was driving crossed into oncoming traffic, colliding with Davila’s car. Davila was pronounced dead at a hospital.
Faynzilberg has also been charged with aggravated assault for the severe injuries sustained by his 21-year-old girlfriend, who was a passenger in his vehicle.
The crash remains under investigation.
It’s unclear if Faynzilberg has an attorney who could comment on the charges.
