TRENTON, N.J. (AP) - With the end of the month approaching, New Jersey’s Motor Vehicle Commission is reminding customers it is open 24 hours online, except when there are computer problems.

Computer troubles have caused long lines at MVC offices this week. The latest incident was Thursday afternoon.

WNBC-TV reports the line stretched out the door at one facility in Lodi and customers say they waited more than four hours to complete their business.

The agency said around noon that a computer glitch prevented its facilities from processing license transactions. The problem was fixed about an hour later.

It’s the second time this week that computer issues have hampered the agency. A similar problem occurred Tuesday morning and normal operations weren’t restored until the afternoon.
