NEWARK, N.J. (AP) - New Jersey Transit trains into and out of New York City are back on schedule after a period of delays caused by a disabled train.

Passengers faced delays of up to one hour on Friday when a Northeast Corridor train from Trenton broke down near the Portal Bridge. There is no word what caused the breakdown.

Midtown Direct trains were diverted to Hoboken Terminal until they resumed normal service.

Buses and PATH trains also honored NJ Transit rail tickets until the delays were resolved.
