FAIRFAX, Va. (AP) - Authorities say a Virginia driver was caught using an HOV lane with a dummy in the passenger seat.

The Fairfax County Government wrote on its Facebook page on Wednesday that officers spotted the dummy aiding an HOV violator, adding that “the hair gave it away.”

An image posted on the department’s social media page shows the mannequin, which was missing a lower body, was buckled in and wearing a striped button-down shirt and sporting a long, shaggy haircut.

The Virginia Department of Transportation says the punishment for a first violation of HOV rules is a $250 fine.
