GILMANTON, N.H. (AP) - New Hampshire Marine Patrol officials are reminding boaters to be careful at night after a serious crash on Crystal Lake in Gilmanton.

Authorities say boats were dispersing after a fireworks show at Crystal Lake Park on Saturday night when a 19-foot power boat crashed into a 17-foot boat, ramping up on top of it and causing extensive damage to both boats. Two of the passengers in the larger boat were thrown into the water, and several passengers on the smaller boat were struck by the other boat’s hull.

They were taken to area hospitals for facial trauma and possible internal injuries.

Authorities say neither drugs nor alcohol appear to have been factors.
