CASTLETON, Vt. (AP) - More than 100 high school students from around Vermont who are participating in the Vermont Governor’s Institute on the Arts will perform in a July 4th community parade in Castleton.

Castleton University says the parade on Main Street on Monday will include a samba band made up of students and staff, giant puppets made by the students and costumes, stilts, streamers and drums.

About 120 students are expected to participate. The parade starts at 10:30 a.m..

The Vermont Governor’s Institute on the Arts is a two-week summer arts enrichment program. The Governor’s Institutes of Vermont provides eight summer institutes in various subjects.
