BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (AP) - Police say a man was found shot to death in east Birmingham.

Birmingham Police Sgt. Bryan Shelton tells Al.com (https://bit.ly/299V9EZ) that an officer on patrol discovered the body about 4 a.m. Sunday in the 100 block of Oporto-Madrid Boulevard. Shelton says police received a call around the same time of a person who had been shot.

The name of the man found dead has not been released.

No arrests have been made.

Police are continuing to investigate.
