ST. LOUIS (AP) - St. Louis emergency crews have rescued a man from the Mississippi River.

St. Louis Fire Department Capt. Garon Mosby says the man became stuck in the mud Sunday with his head above water near the McKinley Bridge.

Two firefighters swam out to the man and freed him. He was transported to a local hospital for treatment for non-life threatening injuries. He was listed as stable.
