FRANKFORT, Ky. (AP) - A man who admitted robbing a Frankfort bakery using a miniature baseball bat has been ordered to enroll in a long-term residential drug rehabilitation program.

Twenty-three-year-old Brandon Morris of Frankfort pleaded guilty to second-degree robbery Friday in Franklin County Circuit Court.

The State Journal (https://bit.ly/29fjQpB) reports a store surveillance video showed Morris going into Poppy’s Bakery with a small bat in May and motioning to an employee to give him cash from the register. The worker complied and Morris, whose face was covered, fled but was caught soon after.

Commonwealth’s attorney Larry Cleveland says Morris would face up to 10 years in prison if he doesn’t comply with the terms of his drug rehab.
