INDIANAPOLIS (AP) - Heavy rain in central Indiana is causing some communities to cancel or postpone their Fourth of July fireworks displays.

The Indianapolis Star reports (https://indy.st/29cQpzH) that fireworks shows have been rescheduled in Shelbyville, Whitestown and Fishers.

Whitestown has rescheduled its festivities to Friday. Shelbyville has rescheduled its celebration and fireworks display to Saturday.

Saxony Lake in Fishers has moved its planned concert and fireworks show to Sept. 2.

The communities of Beech Grove and Franklin have canceled festivities with no work of rescheduled dates.
