KEY WEST, Fla. (AP) - The executive director of the Florida Keys Mosquito Control District is leaving his post to take a new job in North Carolina.

A news release from the district says Michael Doyle will leave at the end of August. He has accepted an entomologist position with the Communicable Disease Branch of the North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services. He will begin there Sept. 19.

The district’s board of commissioners will name an interim executive director at their Aug. 16 meeting.
