BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) - A one-day conference in Bismarck will focus on dental health issues among North Dakota’s American Indian population.

Tribal leaders and health professionals, dental professionals, lawmakers and policymakers are expected to attend the Tribal Nations North Dakota Oral Health Summit on Monday.

They’ll work to identify solutions to problems including a shortage of access to oral health services.

The event is at the Ramkota Inn. It’s sponsored by the National Indian Health Board and the North Dakota State University American Indian Public Health Resource Center.
