UNIONTOWN, Pa. (AP) - State police say one person was killed and another injured when they were struck by a vehicle in western Pennsylvania.

Police in Fayette County said the two were struck shortly after 5 a.m. Sunday in the northbound lanes of Route 43 in Georges Township.

The county coroner’s office said the person killed was a 20-year-old man from Hiller. Police said the other person’s injuries weren’t life-threatening.

No arrests were immediately announced and the circumstances surrounding the accident weren’t immediately available.
