HARTFORD, Conn. (AP) - Connecticut’s 12 community colleges will be holding a special one-day registration event.

The Super Saturday Registration Blitz will take place on Aug. 6 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Prospective students will have an opportunity to speak with academic and financial aid advisers at each community college location. They will also be able to register for fall classes.

Mark Ojakian (oh-JAY’-kee-an), president of the Connecticut State Colleges and Universities system, says the one-day event will give potential students a “quick, easy and accessible way to take the next step in their education.”

The registration blitz comes three weeks before the fall 2016 semester begins on Aug. 29 so students will have time to choose courses and make any necessary preparations before returning to school.
