ST. PAUL, Minn. (AP) - The Floating Library will be adrift on a St. Paul lake for only one more weekend this summer.

The raft on Lake Phalen (FAY’-luhn) is stocked with handmade, one-of-a-kind books, ranging from a catalog of Prince’s favorite foods to tales of the immigrant experience in St Paul.

Readers can reach the library by kayak, canoe or paddleboat - all are available for rent from the Lake Phalen boat house.

Minnesota Public Radio News (https://bit.ly/2amPJ0i ) reports most of the collection is stored in splash-proof plastic sheeting, and the books are available to check out. A library return box is on shore.

It’s the library’s fourth year. Previously, it’s floated on Cedar Lake in Minneapolis and Silver Lake in St. Anthony.

The Floating Library will be on the water Aug. 6 and 7.
