NEW YORK (AP) - Authorities have pulled two bodies from the waters around New York City.

A man was seen floating in the Ambrose Channel off Brooklyn around 3:20 p.m. Saturday. He was pulled from the water and pronounced dead.

Police also recovered the body of a woman from the Harlem River around 11:30 p.m. Saturday.

The New York Police Department says officers responding to an emergency services call saw the woman in the water near 225th Street and Adrian Avenue. She was taken out of the water, and pronounced dead.

The city medical examiner’s office will determine the cause of death for both.

No identities have been released.
