THE DALLES, Ore. (AP) - Federal, state and local crews are battling a grass fire that scorched about 300 acres in The Dalles.

Mid-Columbia Fire and Rescue said the fire started Sunday night and grew rapidly but was about 50 percent by Monday morning.

KPTV reports that (https://goo.gl/Og48TU) that several structures were initially threatened by are no longer in immediate danger. A pump house burned. All evacuation notices have been lifted.

Oregon Gov. Kate Brown invoked the Emergency Conflagration Act Monday morning, making additional state resources available to help local responders battle the fire.

No injuries have been reported.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
