CHARLESTON, S.C. (AP) - It’s the Fourth of July and that means dozens of fireworks displays in the skies across the Carolinas from the mountains to the sea.

Some of the major displays include Kings Mountain in North Carolina where there will be music and actors will perform a scene from a Revolutionary War play. Among other places in North Carolina there will also be large fireworks displays at the US National Whitewater Center and at the Carowinds amusement park on the state border.

In South Carolina there are major displays over Lake Murray, in North Charleston and at Patriots Point in Mount Pleasant. Fireworks are also planned at the popular Broadway at the Beach shopping and dining complex in Myrtle Beach.
