PERRY, Ga. (AP) - Authorities say they found a woman’s body inside a burned recreational vehicle alongside Interstate 75 in Perry.

Local news media report that Perry firefighters responded to a report of a fire around 4:16 p.m. Sunday. Firefighters found the woman’s body on the floor of the RV after they put out the blaze.

The fire department said in a statement the woman’s name was being withheld until her family could be notified.

The RV was under an overpass on the northbound side of the interstate. Two northbound lanes were shut down for several hours while authorities put out the fire and investigated the woman’s death. All lanes were reopened by 9 p.m.

Authorities were investigating the cause of the fire.
