LOS ANGELES (AP) - Authorities say an elderly Los Angeles couple was killed when their motor home towing a Jeep hit a fence, clipped a fire hydrant and smashed into a wall in the San Fernando Valley.

City fire spokesman Brian Humphrey says the full-sized RV was found teetering over Browns Canyon Wash in Canoga Park Monday afternoon.

Diesel fuel leaked from the vehicle and water sprayed from the hydrant.

No other vehicles were involved.

Police Officer S. Bales tells City News Service the man and woman were in their 80s and from nearby West Hills. The victims’ names won’t be released until relatives are notified.
