EDMOND, Okla. (AP) - An official says two people were hurt when a firework shot too low to the ground during a Fourth of July display in Edmond.

Edmond Police Sgt. James Hamm tells TV station KOCO (https://bit.ly/29s5SQL ) the incident happened about 15 minutes into the LibertyFest show Monday night at the University of Central Oklahoma.

He says when a firework went off too low, shrapnel injured a bystander and a person overseeing the show.

The station reports the two were taken to a hospital by private vehicle with minor injuries.
