WEST GLACIER, Mont. (AP) - Two vehicles collided head-on on Going-to-the-Sun Road in Glacier National Park, injuring seven people.

Park officials had little information Tuesday about the cause of Monday afternoon’s crash, which closed the park’s scenic roadway for two hours.

Glacier Park spokeswoman Margie Steigerwald said nine people were involved in the crash, which happened as the Sun Road winds along the south side of Lake McDonald. Park spokesman Tim Raines said two people refused medical treatment.

The ALERT helicopter brought one of the injured to the hospital in Kalispell. Pilot Ken Justice said the patient was conscious and speaking with medical personnel on the flight to the hospital. Three ambulances also responded.

The names, ages and hometowns of those involved have not been released. The cause of the crash is still under investigation.
