SHELTON, Neb. (AP) - Authorities are trying to determine what caused the fire that burned an abandoned school building in the eastern Nebraska town of Shelton.

KSNB reports (https://bit.ly/29sTKP9 ) the fire was reported shortly after midnight Tuesday.

The Buffalo County Sheriff’s office says several fire departments responded to the blaze at the three-story building.

Sergeant David Gibbs says the building is a former school that was listed for sale. No one was in the building at the time of the fire.
