FARGO, N.D. (AP) - The Cass County Sheriff’s Office says a deputy was recently arrested in another county on suspicion of driving under the influence.

Cass County Sgt. Tim Briggeman tells KFGO-AM (https://bit.ly/29l3tF7 ) that deputy Jesse Barbot was arrested about two weeks ago in Barnes County.

Court records show Barbot, of Fargo, has pleaded not guilty to a misdemeanor charge of driving under the influence.

Briggeman says Barbot is assigned to the jail. He says Barbot will continue to work pending the outcome of an internal investigation.

Barbot’s attorney didn’t immediately return a call from The Associated Press seeking comment on the case Tuesday.
