ZEELAND, N.D. (AP) - The community hall in Zeeland has been added to the National Register of Historic Places.

The National Register is the list of properties that the federal government deems worthy of recognition and preservation.

The Zeeland Hall was built in 1936 with funds from the Works Progress Administration.

The State Historical Society of North Dakota says the community center is significant for its Colonial Revival architecture and its connection with federal work-relief construction programs from the Depression Era.
