CHESTER, Pa. (AP) - Police say a man was found shot to death in a car in a city near Philadelphia on the Fourth of July.

Chester police said the 31-year-old man’s body was found in the driver’s seat of the car on a city street shortly before 7 p.m. Monday.

Police said he had gunshot wounds to the head and body and was pronounced dead at the scene. His name wasn’t immediately released.

Police said the car was still turned on and the gear selector was in the “drive” position.

No arrests were immediately reported.
