WARNER, N.H. (AP) - New Hampshire Liquor Commission officials say they will break ground in September to launch construction of a new liquor store in Warner.

The 10,500-square-foot store will be located in a plaza already occupied by a Market Basket and Aubuchon Hardware store off Interstate 89 at Exit 9 in Warner. The exit is popular with skiers and tourists because of the retail outlets and several fast food restaurants and gas stations grouped there on Route 103, at the gateway to the Mount Sunapee region.

The new store is expected to open in July 2017.

Since its inception in 1934, the liquor commission has grown to 79 stores statewide and saw gross sales of $642 million in fiscal 2015.
