MONACO (AP) - Poland center half Kamil Glik has joined French club Monaco from Italian side Torino on a four-year deal.

He played every minute of Poland’s European Championship campaign, which ended with defeat to Portugal on penalties in the quarterfinals.

The 28-year-old Glik played five seasons with Torino, becoming the club captain and scoring 12 goals in 154 league games.

Glik, who has made 46 international appearances for Poland, says joining Monaco is “a very exciting new challenge.”

Monaco vice president Vadim Vasilyev says Glik is the “experienced central defender we’ve been looking for.”
