CHICOPEE, Mass. (AP) - Police in Chicopee (CHIH’-kuh-pee) are investigating after a 2-year-old child was hit by a car.

Officer Mike Wilk tells WWLP-TV (https://bit.ly/29q4MDz ) the child was hit Monday evening on McKinstry Avenue in Chicopee and wasn’t seriously injured.

Wilk says authorities were called in to investigate around 7:45 p.m. The road was closed until about 9 p.m.

It wasn’t immediately known if charges will be filed against the driver. The child hasn’t been identified.
