EASTOVER, S.C. (AP) - The body of a Sumter County man has been pulled from the Wateree River.

Local media outlets reported that the body of 51-year-old Oscar Brunson was found Monday afternoon in the river on the Sumter-Richland county line.

Brunson had been reported missing Sunday afternoon where he had been camping with family members.

Sumter County Coroner Harvin Bullock said an autopsy is planned Tuesday.

Sumter County sheriff’s deputies, the Sumter Fire Department, Richland County sheriff’s deputies, the Columbia-Richland Fire Department and the state Department of Natural Resources helped in the search.
