WILMINGTON, Del. (AP) - Wilmington police say a 16-year-old boy was critically wounded when he was shot in the head.

Police said in a statement Tuesday that officers were called to the area of Sherman Street and Clifford Brown Walk on Monday night and found the teen with a gunshot wound to the head.

Police say the teen was treated on the scene and then taken to Nemours Alfred I. DuPont Hospital for Children, where he is in critical but stable condition.
