BRANDON, Miss. (AP) - Authorities say a head-on collision in Rankin County has killed one man and injured four others, including two children.

Sheriff Bryan Bailey says in a news release that a car and an SUV collided about 6:30 a.m. Wednesday at Holly Bush and Adams roads, near Mississippi Highway 25.

Bailey says the two children are 22 months old and 6 years old. He says one of the children was in the vehicle with the driver who was killed.

All four of the injured people were taken to the University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson.

Bailey says the names of those involved would be released once their families are notified.

The crash is under investigation.
