DOUGLAS, Wyo. (AP) - Converse County authorities say investigators found two handguns in the vehicle of a man shot and killed by deputy U.S. marshals last week in Douglas.

Deputies shot and killed 44-year-old Jasen Scott Ramirez while trying to arrest him at a church after his father’s funeral Thursday in Douglas.

The Converse County Sheriff’s Office and County Attorney’s Office stated Tuesday that Ramirez was near his vehicle when was shot. They say investigators found two handguns in Ramirez’ vehicle and also found roughly 4 ounces of methamphetamine in the vehicle and on his person.

No deputies were injured. The shooting prompted law enforcement to put the city on lockdown for several hours.

Ramirez, 44 of Colorado, was indicted in U.S. District Court in Wyoming last month on federal drug and weapons charges.
