LAWRENCE, Kan. (AP) - Lawrence police are searching for a man who dragged a police officer with his vehicle while fleeing a traffic stop.

WIBW-TV (https://bit.ly/29iCs34 ) reports the officer stopped a white Ford Fusion with Missouri plates around 4:45 p.m. Tuesday and somehow became caught up in the car and was dragged when the driver took off.

The officer was taken to a hospital with injuries that were not considered life-threatening.

The suspect was described as a clean-cut man wearing a blue shirt with a white shirt and red tie. Police say he also was wearing aviator-style sunglasses.
