SMACKOVER, Ark. (AP) - Authorities are investigating after a man was stabbed to death in south Arkansas.

Smackover Police Chief Michael Fife says Wesley Owens died after the stabbing late Monday. Fife says a teenager was also injured and is being treated at Arkansas Children’s Hospital in Little Rock.

The El Dorado News-Times reports (https://bit.ly/29i4uzE ) that Michael Dungerow was arrested on suspicion of second-degree murder and second-degree battery in the attack. He’s being held in the Union County Jail on $100,000 bond, and authorities did not know if he had an attorney.

Fife says the stabbings happened after an altercation at Dungerow’s home in Smackover, and that the suspect and victims were believed to be acquaintances.
