PIERRE, S.D. (AP) - A South Dakota man who admitted that he sexually abused a minor has been sentenced to nine years in federal prison.

U.S. District Judge Roberto Lange has also ordered 20-year-old Graham Brody Good Shield, of Mission, to follow his prison term with five years of supervised release. Good Shield pleaded guilty in March to the charge of abusive sexual contact.

Federal authorities say Good Shield “intentionally made sexual contact” with the 11-year-old victim after he drank alcohol while at a home in Rosebud in June 2015. Authorities say Good Shield knew that the victim was a minor when he committed the crime.

Good Shield is now under the custody of the U.S. Marshals Service.
