NEW ORLEANS (AP) - Louisiana and the western portion of Mississippi are under a heat advisory.

The National Weather Service says the advisory is in effect from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday.

The feel like temperature is expected to reach between 105 to 111 degrees.

The weather service say a combination of hot temperatures and high humidity will combine to create a situation in which heat illnesses are possible.
