NEW YORK (AP) - The NYPD is searching for two men who robbed a subway rider in the Bronx.

Police say it happened on June 28 in the mezzanine of the East 143rd Street and Southern Boulevard subway station.

The 29-year-old victim tried to flee as the two suspects approached him but was stopped on the stairwell and punched. Police say one of the suspects then produced a gun and removed the victim’s book bag, cellphone and $500 in cash.
