GEORGIA, Vt. (AP) - Police say a passenger has died in a Vermont car crash after the car left a road, struck a culvert and rolled multiple times.

Police say 32-year-old Leonard Delage, of Georgia, Vermont, was ejected from the car late Tuesday near the St. Albans town line on Route 7.

The driver, 28-year-old-Justin Hemond, also of Georgia, was ejected, too. He was hospitalized in critical condition.

Police say their initial investigation suggests that high speeds, combined with alcohol, contributed to the crash. No charges have been filed.

This story has been corrected to show the passenger was from Georgia, not George.
