MELBOURNE BEACH, Fla. (AP) - Authorities say a shark apparently bit a woman at a central Florida beach.

Florida Today (https://goo.gl/VPGeDU ) reports that the injury occurred Wednesday afternoon in unincorporated Melbourne Beach.

Brevard County Fire Rescue reports that the woman suffered a bite on her buttocks and thigh and a deeper bite on her left hand and wrist area. The woman also reported seeing the animal.
