PAWTUCKET, R.I. (AP) - Four firms have submitted proposals to study what it would take to upgrade McCoy Stadium, the home of the Pawtucket Red Sox.

The Providence Journal reports (https://bit.ly/29zHlH6 ) representatives from the Rhode Island Department of Administration, the city of Pawtucket and the minor league baseball team will meet Thursday to determine who will review and rank the proposals.

The bidders were Pawtucket-based Leshinsky Finance, LLC; Glastonbury, Connecticut-based The S/L/A/M Collaborative; and two Kansas City, Missouri-based architecture firms - Populous and Generator Studio, LLC.

Officials estimate the study will cost between $80,000 and $100,000. The team, city and state will split the cost.

Team chairman Larry Lucchino has declined to say whether the team intends to renovate McCoy.

The team in September ended its pursuit of land in Providence for a new ballpark.
