VIAN, Okla. (AP) - A 22-year-old man has been arrested in the case of a Webbers Falls hiker who disappeared near Lake Tenkiller in eastern Oklahoma.

The Tulsa World reports (https://bit.ly/29nvgTa ) that Tyler Leverett was arrested on Friday on a complaint of accessory to murder after the fact in connection with the June 21 disappearance of Matthew Scott Fagan.

Authorities recovered a body Monday in the Canadian River and are investigating whether it is related to the case, but it has yet to be identified by the state medical examiner.

Sequoyah County deputies began to suspect foul play in Fagan’s disappearance after his friends’ stories about the day’s events didn’t match.

Authorities say a second person being held in the Muskogee County jail on an unrelated complaint will also be questioned in the case.
