BILLINGS, Mont. (AP) - A Billings-area man was killed in a head-on collision on the Crow Indian Reservation.

The Montana Highway Patrol says the crash happened at 11:35 p.m. Wednesday on Secondary Highway 418 between Billings and Pryor.

Yellowstone County Deputy Coroner Cliff Mahoney told The Billings Gazette (https://bit.ly/29llKQT ) he could not release the victim’s name until his family was notified. An autopsy was planned Thursday afternoon.

Patrol dispatchers said the crash involved tribal members and referred questions to the Bureau of Indian Affairs. BIA spokeswoman Nedra Darling was not immediately available for comment.
