MISSOULA, Mont. (AP) - Missoula has opened a new Veterans Administration center to ease long wait times and a lack of services at its old office.

KECI-TV reports (https://bit.ly/29xCJCl ) that the new facility is twice the size of the old one and has group conference rooms, a full kitchen and multi-purpose rooms. The new building has been in the making for three years.

The VA center will offer new forms of therapy, like yoga, tai chi and meditation.

Veterans told KECI-TV that they’re also happy about increased accessibility like more parking and continued use of the mobile veteran center.

The Missoula VA says it isn’t affected by wait times because they only serve combat veterans, military sexual trauma victims or bereavement cases.

They’re hiring two new additional counselors to help with demand.
