BELMONT, N.H. (AP) - Police in three New Hampshire communities are investigating a road-rage incident in which authorities say a motorist shot out the rear window of another vehicle on Route 106.

The shooting was reported on the night of July 4. Police say a motorist called 911 and told dispatch that another driver fired a gun following a roadway dispute between the two in Belmont.

Lt. Richard Mann says officers determined the window had been shot out. Officers found a bullet lodged inside the victim’s car. No one was injured.

Mann says police were able to track down a person of interest in Nashua. No arrests have been made as of Wednesday night. Police in Laconia and Nashua are assisting Belmont police in the case.
