HOPE, Ark. (AP) - A 22-year-old man sought in the fatal shooting of a Hope resident has been taken into custody by Hempstead County deputies.

The Arkansas Democrat-Gazette (https://bit.ly/29rZ1Fn ) reports that Courvoisier Trotter was wanted on a charge of first-degree murder in the death of 24-year-old Tommy Hamilton Jr.

Hamilton was found around 4:30 p.m. June 23 with a gunshot wound in his chest. He died later at a local hospital.

Trotter was being held at the Hempstead County jail as of Wednesday evening.
