AUGUSTA, Maine (AP) - Supporters of Bernie Sanders are challenging Maine’s delegation to the Democratic National Convention over gender balance and unreleased convention vote totals.

The Democratic National Committee has certified Maine’s delegation with 17 Sanders delegates versus Hillary Clinton’s eight, and the numbers haven’t changed since the convention.

The complaint to the DNC’s credentials committee asks the Maine delegation to release convention vote totals and to remove one male Sanders delegate and reinstate two others.

The challenge, filed by Sanders national delegate and Portland attorney Seth Berner, raised issues about the balance of delegates for Clinton and Sanders, but not the overall balance of 15 men and 15 women.

Maine Democratic Party spokeswoman Katie Baker said she couldn’t yet comment on the complaint, which she said was received Wednesday night.
