MARTINSBURG, W.Va. (AP) - Berkeley County court records show two Baltimore residents face drug charges related to the death of a recent Springs Mills High School graduate.

The Herald-Mail of Hagerstown, Maryland (https://bit.ly/1Zdp5o5 ) reports 23-year-old Kelvin Alpha Johnson and 23-year-old Sykebia Tanasha Stewart are in the Eastern Regional Jail.

West Virginia State Police Cpl. Brian Bean identified the victim in a criminal complaint as Jorge Armando Mercado-Medrano. Berkeley County Schools Superintendent Manny Arvon says Medrano graduated last week and students were notified Tuesday about his death.

According to court records, Johnson and Stewart each are charged with three counts of distribution of a controlled substance. Johnson and Stewart allegedly provided unspecified drugs to two juveniles and Medrano, who was found dead later at his home. The juveniles are hospitalized.

Berkeley County Prosecutor Pamela Games-Neely says additional charges are possible.
