MINOT, N.D. (AP) - Officials have dedicated two more affordable housing complexes in Minot and Burlington as part of the communities’ recovery from Souris River flooding five years ago.

The $8.3 million townhomes in Burlington and the $7 million apartments in Minot were built with the help of state and federal money.

They’re meant to help address the shortage of affordable housing after the June 2011 flood that caused hundreds of millions of dollars in damage in the region.

At least three other affordable housing projects have been completed in Minot over the past five years.
