CONCORD, N.H. (AP) - A 74-year-old former community center custodian is facing more charges of sexually assaulting children in New Hampshire.

Robert Magoon of Tilton was arrested last week stemming from allegations made by two girls, who said they were groped at the Pines Community Center in Northfield. Prosecutors said the incidents started in 2014.

Prosecutor say since then, three more girls came forth and made similar allegations. The girls ranged in age from 7 to 13 at the time of alleged assaults.

Magoon, a former police officer, worked at the community center for about a decade. He faces five felony charges of aggravated felonious sexual assault, and a misdemeanor count of simple assault.

Magoon’s newly assigned public defenders said they hadn’t started researching the case.

Magoon is being held on $150,000 bail. His lawyers had argued for a $10,000 bail and asked that he wear an electronic bracelet.
